Hey world, you better listen up.

I finished Exodus a long time ago, but i just haven't blogged about it yet. So...(Spoiler alert)

The story line isn't very clear, but is very interesting to a Jew, and I count myself as one, It is the story of an American nurse who gets involved with a plot to free Jews from a displaced persons camp. These Jews were then sent on the book's namesake, the Exodus, towards Palestine. the nurse, Kitty Fremont, became attached to one of the children on the Exodus, attempting to take her to America throughout the story. Kitty follows the ship through it's stages: launching, landing, and rehabilitation.

The children have to go on hunger strike to force the British's hand. In the end, the British cave in to save themselves the bad press

The Exodus landed in Haifa, and the children dispersed all around Palestine.

The story then transforms into a saga about the Israeli fight for freedom. It talks in detail about the fighting going on after the vote for partition. The struggle, the heartbreak, the triumph.
